This is a hearty vegetarian comfort food that fills your belly and warms your soul. The turnips, raisins and ginger make this dish especially yummy but you may want to reduce the amount of fennel – and make the pieces smaller since it is rather strong. It’s easy on the prep side since most of the veggies are just quartered, even at the campsite cooking it was a breeze! You could easily add lamb or beef to it for those who prefer protein in their stews and this meal freezes really well. Overall, Fern and Freckle declare this to be the perfect campfire meal! It’s super nomable and we will both be making it again!
